How to comply

  • Identify leading edge, roofing, and pre-cast tasks where conventional fall protection is infeasible.
  • Write a site-specific plan that covers panel layout, perimeter protection, and leading edge work per 29 CFR 1926.502(k).
  • Have a competent person supervise implementation and correct hazards promptly.
  • Train affected workers on the plan before they begin work.
  • Review and update the plan when site conditions or tasks change.
