The regulation that requires it in Oregon
Oregon runs an approved state plan under OAR 437-003-0001 and adopts 29 CFR 1926 by reference with Oregon-specific additions. No Oregon-specific statute in the ontology requires a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan, so the default citation applies.
Enforcing agency
Oregon OSHA enforces workplace safety rules in the state. The agency inspects public and private employers, issues citations for violations, and maintains its own penalty schedule while coordinating with federal OSHA on recordkeeping and certain standards.
